Scholarship & Tuition Assistance
At age 67, I became very ill and was hospitalized. Having no other income than social security, and a meager pension - my funds were gone after two years. In addition to the great relief the scholarship has provided me, I am doing better in health - and love coming to see friends and have fun as much as I possibly can. Heartfelt thanks to all involved for making this possible...
—Lisa S., Senior Artist Granted Tuition Assistance
Committed to arts accessibility, Main Line Art Center provides over $12,000 in need-based tuition assistance and scholarships each year so that children, adults, seniors and veterans can participate in our programs regardless of their financial situation.
Applications will be considered on a first come, first serve basis until funds are dispersed. Please review our policies on the application form for more information.
Help Support Art for Everyone
Give today so everyone is welcome despite financial hardship, age, ability, or background. Visit our donation page to join other compassionate donors in supporting our mission of Art for Everyone.
Main Line Art Center offers scholarship opportunities to adults and children who demonstrate a financial need and an interest in the arts. While other factors may be taken into consideration, scholarships are assigned on the basis of financial need.
This form can be used for adult, teen, or children’s classes. Summer camp has a separate application. Applicants must become Members of the Art Center in order to receive a scholarship (Membership is due at the time of registration, not at the time of application). Adult students who are registered for more than one course during the same class session are not eligible for scholarships. However, families may apply for scholarships for more than one child within a class session. Each individual student is limited to 2 scholarships within a fiscal year (summer camp is considered separately). If you have any questions, please contact our Registrar at 610.525.0272 ext. 110.
Applying for Scholarships*
To be considered for a scholarship all fields of the below application must be completed and returned to the Art Center along with the following materials: a recent tax form or pay stub for each contributing adult, a registration form, a personal letter and a letter of support.
*Please Note: Tax forms and letters may be submitted separately but the application will not be reviewed until all required materials have been received.
Incomplete applications will not be considered. Submitting an application does not guarantee a space in the class.
Scholarships will be collected until the deadline date, after which all scholarships will be viewed collectively. Please visit our website or call for current deadlines.
Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are dispersed.
Scholarships cover tuition only. Recipients may be responsible for paying the balance of tuition in addition to the required membership fee and in some cases, supply fees that are associated with the class. Registration must be finalized and balance must be paid within one week of notice. Failure to do so will result in loss of scholarship and space in the class will not be held.
Scholarships awards (and scholarship application materials) cannot be transferred from one class to another, except with express permission from the Registrar. Scholarships cannot be transferred between semesters.
