Summer Exceptional Art Camp for Children & Teens
Join us August 21-25 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm for a fun and creative camp held at the Haverford Township Building on the Haverford Reserve that features individualized and developmentally appropriate art activities for children and teens (12-22 years) with developmental challenges. Students build fine motor and social skills as they experiment with a variety of media such as clay, painting, drawing, collage, and more. In the morning, students will begin working on an art project, take a break to have a snack and run around in the gym or outside, and then return to start another project in the late morning. On Friday, camp culminates in an Art Party where family and friends are invited to see the finished masterpieces campers create. Classes are led by experienced Teaching Artists assisted by caring volunteers and structured for small groups of children to provide one-on-one attention and support. Students should bring water and a snack. For more information to register, please call 610.525.0272, ext. 123 to speak with Dan Halprin, Education Director.
