Announcing Year-Long, Unique Art Commissioning Project: C3: Create. Connect. Collect.

Main Line Art Center is proud to present C3: Create. Connect. Collect., an innovative project unique to the Philadelphia area, that connects patrons of the arts with notable contemporary artists from our region to collaborate through the commissioning process. C3 begins this fall and culminates with a feature exhibition curated by Mary Anne Dutt Justice planned for the fall of 2011, kicking off the Art Center’s 75 anniversary.

Main Line Art Center Kicks Off Fall with Faculty Show

Fall Session at Main Line Art Center in Haverford, marks the beginning of another exciting year providing Art For Everyone, and is appropriately kicked off with the Annual Faculty Exhibition. The exhibition runs Sept. 3-24, and will feature a Closing Reception on Fri., Sept. 24 from 6-9 pm, where most of the artists will be in attendance.

Outreach Exhibition Explores The Space Within

An important part of its mission to provide Art for Everyone are the outreach programs that reach underserved audiences including children, teens and adults with disabilities, at-risk children and low-income adults and families. These powerful programs are celebrated annually at an exhibition showcasing the work of participants.

Ceramics Show Shines at Main Line Art Center

This March, Philadelphia is home to the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) 2010 conference, and Main Line Art Center will be bringing the excitement to the suburbs with a special exhibition entitled Main-Lining Ceramics. Running in the gallery from March 13-April 4, the exhibition will showcase the work of artists from PA, NJ, DE, DC, MD and NY who are pushing boundaries in the field of ceramics.

Main Line Art Center Celebrates: Philagrafika 2010

Beginning the end of January, the Philadelphia area will
become print-happy as Philagrafika 2010, an international festival celebrating print in contemporary art, descends on the city. Main Line Art Center, located in Haverford, will bring the excitement to the suburbs with a special exhibition entitled In Depth: Printmaking and Photography. The juried exhibition runs February 5-March 2 and will open with a First Friday Reception on Fri., Feb. 5 from 6-9 pm.

Generous Challenge Grant Paints a Brighter Future for Main Line Art Center

Main Line Art Center announces today that it received a generous challenge grant which will help ensure the Art Center’s vitality during these turbulent economic times. The Klorfine Foundation pledges to match donations received to the Art Center between March 23 and August 31, 2009, up to $25,000.

Main Line Art Center Presents Annual Fine Art Sale and Benefit Preview Party

Beginning April 24, the gallery at Main Line Art Center will come alive with over 200 pieces of original and affordable art by more than 50 professional artists for the Art Center’s annual fundraising exhibition and sale. The Fine Art Sale is open to the public from April 25-May 28, with a benefit preview party on Friday, April 24 from 6-8:30 pm.

What to Expect When You're Collecting: Panel Discussion

Main Line Art Center Celebrates Artistic Accomplishments of Members

The gallery at Main Line Art Center will come alive this holiday season with the beautiful artwork of over 210 Art Center’s talented Members for the 71st Annual Members’ Exhibition. One-of-a-kind works in a variety of media, including painting, printmaking, drawing, ceramics, jewelry, photography and more will be available for viewing and purchase beginning Dec. 19 at the opening reception from 6-8 pm. The exhibition will close on Jan. 10.

5th Annual Betsy Meyer Memorial Exhibition

Main Line Art Center Highlights Local Artists and Art Collectors: Main Line Collects Philadelphia 2008

Beginning May 13, private collectors in the Main Line community will generously lend post-1950 works for Main Line Art Center’s exhibition, Main Line Collects Philadelphia. The exhibition of paintings, sculpture, prints, drawings and light fixtures has been assembled by Curator Mary Anne Dutt Justice from 19 private collections, and represents the work of 42 artists from the Philadelphia area.
