Winter 2012 Session Registration Policies
Main Line Art Center accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Amex as payment. Enrollment is accepted only after FULL tuition is received. Please read the course descriptions carefully for exact course dates and times. The Art Center only sends confirmation after online registration. Students registering all other ways should expect registration acceptance unless otherwise notified.
Supply Lists:
It is the student’s responsibility to request a copy of a supply list at the front desk or look up the class in our education section to download a copy. What supplies, tools and materials are covered by my tuition? Click here to download PDF.
Registration:
Main Line Art Center may choose to decline an individual's request to enroll or to participate otherwise in the Art Center's classes or programs when necceary or appropriate.
Early Registration Discount:
Students registering through Dec. 27 will receive a discount of $10 off their total registration fee. Only one early registration discount can be used per household per session.
Additional Class Discount:
Students who register for more than one class of 4 weeks or more will receive a $10 discount on each additional class thereafter. Students who register for more than one class or workshop of 3 weeks or less will receive a $5 discount on each additional workshop thereafter. Offer only applies when registering for multiple classes/workshops at the same time. As noted in the brochure, larger discounts are sometimes given if a student signs up for an accompanying class. You will only receive that discount and not an additional $10 off for each class. Discounts on applicable for Family Workshops.
New Student Discount:
New to the Art Center? Mention this when you call to register or write the promo code NEWBIE on your registration form for $10 off of your class and workshop total. Discount will NOT be applied when registering online - phone in, mail or register in person for discount. Discount not applicable to memberships, trips, lectures or Family Workshops and cannot be given online.
Main Line Art Center reserves the right to deny or change discounts if used inappropriately.
Class Cancellations:
The Art Center reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment or in case of a catastrophe. In the event the Art Center cancels a class, students will be notified and full tuition and fee will be refunded. Trip deposits are non-refundable unless MLAC cancels the trip. Cancellations are made five days prior to start of class or workshop.
Withdrawal/Refund Policy:
All refunds are subject to a $15 processing fee. An additional $35 fee will be charged for any withdrawal requests from a class or workshop five days prior to the first day of the class or workshop. Withdrawls after first class will also include a pro-rated class fee. No refunds will be granted after the second class.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available based on financial need. Students who receive scholarships must be Members (at any level). The deadline for submitting for a scholarships is Dec. 27. Applications will be collected until the deadline date and then viewed collectively. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Snow Day Policy:
Classes may be cancelled due to severe weather. In the event of a weather-related closing, make-ups will be scheduled the week after your class ends or during Dec. 12-18, make-up week. Refunds cannot be made if a student is unable to attend the make-up class. The Art Center partners with KYW to give notices about closings. Publicity Policy:
Main Line Art Center reserves the right to use photos taken during classes and other programs for the Art Center’s publicity. Registration in a class gives the Art Center permission to use that image without further consent or compensation. From time to time the Art Center shares our mailing list with partner organizations in the area so that customers can receive info about related cultural activities that may be of interest. If for any reason you would like to opt out of this list, please email us at info@mainlineart.org.
Student Property:
The Art Center is not responsible for artwork and other property left on the premises and has no liability is such property is lost, stolen or damaged, except in instances when artwork is displayed in gallery exhibitions and covered by insurance. Any artwork or property left two weeks after the semester ends will be discarded.

Main Line Art Center is committed to a continuum of accessible education programs by providing reasonable and appropriate accommodations in a supportive environment that promotes and fosters inclusion of people of all ages, abilities, and skill levels. If you believe that you will require any accommodations to enable you to participate meaningfully in our programs, please contact the staff before you enroll, but ideally at least two weeks prior to the start of a program.
Emergency Forms:
Every child under the age of 18 is required to complete and submit a Child Emergency Form to the main office. Adult students 18 years and older are required to inform the main office if they have a medical condition that the staff or faculty should be aware of in the case of emergency. Forms are kept on files for one year unless there are updates or changes. The form can be obtained from the main office or is available for download in the Children's Classes section of the Education page.
